What topics/units will I study?
You will develop and refine many skills in the initial stages whilst being introduced to the main course structure. You will follow set briefs that will explore a wide variety of disciplines including some of the following, depending on your teacher’s specialism:
Body adornment
Wall Art
Textile based craft
Paper based craft
Ceramic based craft

If you enjoy being creative and exploring different materials, processes and techniques then this is the course for you!  All abilities are welcome on this course.
Studying Craft develops structured thinking skills as well as enriching personal development in terms of skill, understanding and appreciation of design.
Craft complements the more academic subjects as it can help students focus and express their ideas creativity in a wide variety of ways.
What trips/ activities will I be involved in?
At least one trip to a venue that will enhance their understanding of the design process. For example a ceramics studio or a joiners workshop.
What college courses/job opportunities would this help me follow in the future?
Learners who achieve this V Cert qualification could progress onto further Level 3 qualifications and A Levels, such as:
