Who would this course suit? What skills do you need ?
Textiles need someone who can work independently and be creative with their ideas and concepts. They need to be able to communicate their ideas well and present this in a number of forms. They need to enjoy practical activities and be good problem solvers. They need to be resilient and have perseverance to continue with difficult tasks. 
What trips/ activities will you be involved in?
Design practical activities, Visit to the clothes show live, art galleries.
What college courses/job opportunities would this help you follow in the future?
DT – A levels including design courses - Fashion Design, product design, textiles design , Art and design courses.
How will this course help you to get a job?
Employers like applicants who can problem solve, work independently and be creative. Independent thinkers are desirable to employers.

What do students who are currently studying this subject think?
Students enjoy the practical element of this course and make a huge range of original products. Students really enjoy the creative and practical element of this course and love making their own designs.
