Pupils have risen to the challenge of the new GCSEs
Pupils at The Co-op Academy North Manchester have risen to the challenge of the new GCSE examinations!
In a year that saw new GCSE examinations across the majority of GCSE subjects taken, our pupils achieved fantastic results. There have also been significant rises across all key national measures. Over 67% of the cohort achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and the outcomes for GCSE Maths at Grade 4 or above were also at National Average.
There were excellent outcomes across other subjects, with two thirds of the cohort achieving a Grade 4 or above in Languages, and an impressive 30% of all grades achieved in GCSE Spanish and GCSE Physics being at a Grade 7-9. Top grades were achieved across every subject with pupils achieving the coveted Grade 9s in no less than ten different subjects!
We are so proud of our Year 11s’ hard work and dedication, we know that GCSEs are never easy. There were some outstanding individual performances, and we are excited to see what lies ahead for everyone.
Our Principal, Rebecca Smith, said, ‘I am delighted by these GCSE results. Pupils at the Academy have worked exceptionally hard to achieve their best and I have been thrilled to hear how these results will enable them to fulfil their future plans. I would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Academy who have nurtured within our pupils a love of learning and a real interest in a range of subjects. Speaking with the pupils today, it is evident that the commitment of our staff has been key to our pupils’ successes. I wish all our pupils a happy and successful future.'
