The Manchester Creative and Media Academy is a Coop Academies Trust School having joined the Trust in March 2016.
Through our vision of 'high expectations' and 'excellence' for all, we provide our students with a range of opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom to enable them to build happy and successful lives. We work together for the best in everyone and use the skills of our excellent staff and governors, alongside the opportunities that being part of one of the most successful Trusts in the country brings, to provide our pupils with a unique education.
The website will have given you some further information about what makes MCMA so special, but do look at our twitter feed to find out more about what we do each day.
Our commitment to our staff is second to none. Not only will you have access to the Coop Academies Trust benefits package, but we also support our staff with their career and professional development in order that they too can be happy and successful in their careers. We believe that access to excellent training and development is an entitlement of any teacher and our staff members comment on our commitment to this, rating the quality of our CPD highly during staff feedback surveys.
Our students work hard. They recognise the high expectations that we have of them and want this for themselves. We believe in pupils having access to a wide range of extra curricular activities and visits and these, along with our well regarded focus on pupils' overall development, helps to create young people who care about themselves, others and the community in which they live. Our extra curricular activities and trips are both fun and varied, encompassing all areas of the curriculum including the creative arts, languages and sports and provide you with opportunities to share your passion for your subject with others.
We belong to a wide range of partnerships including work with The Manchester Grammar School and Swire in a mandarin in schools project, The Manchester United Foundation which brings unique opportunities to work with the club and The Manchester Metropolitan University to name but a few. We also support the work of two local teaching schools and play an active role in initial teacher education, recently being asked to share our unique partnership work with ministers and others at a symposium at the Houses of Parliament.
We do hope that what you have read so far inspires you to want to find out more. Please do get in touch if you would like to tour the academy or find out more about any of the opportunities that we have available.
